Rivers: Wike’s IGR Of Rivers Is Between N23 And N27 Billion, And Wike Was Declaring N12 Billion

Amidst the escalating political feud between Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara, a prominent voice from the Kalabari Kingdom has stepped forward. Alhaji Asari Dokubo, a notable leader, shared his perspective, revealing insights into the ongoing conflict. Dokubo, initially undecided, has now expressed a clearer understanding of the underlying issues between the two political figures.

In a recent Facebook video, Dokubo detailed his observations on the financial management and discrepancies within the Rivers State government. Highlighting the vast differences in road construction costs and state revenue reports, Dokubo questioned the allocation and transparency of funds under Wike’s administration.

Moreover, Dokubo underscored conflicting reports on the state’s internally generated revenue (IGR). Governor Fubara claimed that Rivers State generates between N23 to N27 billion monthly, while Wike had previously stated the revenue to be between N13 to N15 billion. This inconsistency has led to questions about the allocation of the remaining funds.

“When this whole crisis started, I openly stated that I would not back anybody, and I asked those who believe in me not to support anyone, since we didn’t know the reason for the fight between the political father and the political godson,” Dokubo said in his video. “Today I can categorically beat my chest and say I know what happened between Wike and Fubara. Nyesom Wike’s IGR of Rivers State is between N23 and N27 billion, and Wike was declaring N12 billion. Where was the N13 or N15 billion going? Governor Fubara said they make between N23 to N27 billion every month…..Sēē Moré
