Please Don’t Protest, I’ve Provided #50,000 Grant For 1,000 Traders In Each State” – First Lady

First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on citizens to suspend their planned protests from August 1-14, assuring them that the government is working tirelessly to restore stability. Speaking at a meeting with governors’ wives in Abuja, Tinubu highlighted Nigeria’s improved international standing and the growing interest in the country’s business opportunities, which have the potential to create jobs and enhance economic growth.

In a move to support small businesses, Tinubu announced a N50,000 grant for 1,000 women petty traders in each state and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This initiative aims to empower women and boost the local economy by providing essential funding for small businesses.

Additionally, the First Lady underscored the importance of national unity through cultural initiatives. She highlighted the One Nigeria Unity Fabric competition, noting that production of the winning design is already underway in Kano and Lagos. This project symbolizes the nation’s unity and diversity, fostering a sense of togetherness among Nigerians.
