Phillip Shuaibu: The CP Should Arrest Him, He Isn’t The Deputy Gov, He Has No Immunity, Edo Govt

Edo State government officials, Chris Nehikhare and Crusoe Osagie, have asked the police to arrest and investigate Philip Shaibu. They accused him of being behind an incident where armed individuals targeted Senator Monday Okpebholo’s convoy.

According to the Officials, Shaibu, Edo State’s former Deputy Governor, was warned by the police to prevent his supporters from gathering, but he ignored the advice.

Nehikhare stated that Shaibu should be arrested because he no longer holds the position of deputy governor and therefore does not have immunity.

According to Vanguard, Chris Nehikhare said, “The state commissioner of police had an intelligence report and went to the airport to caution him (Shaibu) not to allow his boys to assemble at the airport or anywhere in the state, but he defied the advice.

We had appealed the judgment reinstating him as the deputy governor and filed a stay of execution immediately we got Certified True Copy (CTC) and he was shown the restraining order from the court.
