My Husband Said I Should Choose Between Him And Acting Movies, So I Left Him And Chose Acting” Wunmi

Veteran Yoruba movie actress Yetunde Wunmi has revealed why she left her husband to continue her movie career, while also stating some of the challenges she faced before becoming a famous actress in the Yoruba movie industry.

In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Doyin Kukoyi TV during an interview with Doyin Kukoyi, she made it known that her husband asked her to choose between her movie career and her marriage because he was not in support of her acting job, saying that she made up her mind to choose being an actress and left her husband.

In her statement, she said, “When I started my movie career, actors were not that many, only a few of us were active and doing well.

“I tried my best to work with some of the legends of the Yoruba movie industry at that time, but I couldn’t get near them because of their fame.
