Peter J. Miniel requested that inmates on death row get one of the largest banquets ever. The 42-year-old ordered spaghetti, fruit cake, half a chocolate cake, half a vanilla cake, cookies-n-cream ice cream, caramel pecan fudge root beer, and two glasses of juice in addition to 20 beef tacos, 20 beef enchiladas, 2 double cheeseburgers, 1 jalapeo pizza, 20 fried chicken nuggets, and 20 beef enchiladas.
2. Ricky Ray Rector.
It didn’t seem out of the ordinary for Richard Ray Rector to order a steak, fried chicken, cherry Kool-Aid, and a slice of pecan pie for his last meal. After dinner, Rector left the pecan pie and told the security guard that he was “saving it for later.” Things start to get strange at this point.
3. Saddam Hussein.
Former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was executed in 2006. Some accounts claim Hussein’s last meal was mostly Western fare (he even consumed a hamburger and fries prior to his execution), while others indicate that he was given chicken and schwarma rice moments before his execution but declined it.
4. Gary Carl Simmons.
Gary Jr. One Pizza Hut Supreme Deep Dish pizza had three cheeses, olives, bell peppers, tomatoes, garlic, and Italian sausage. The other had twice as many mushrooms, onions, jalapenos, and pepperoni. Carl Simmons, Jr., a death row inmate, also ordered more food than he could eat.
Eight ounces of jalapeo nacho cheese, four ounces of sliced jalapenos, two twenty-ounce Cherry Cokes, two large strawberry shakes , two pints of strawberry ice cream, ten eight-ounce packs of ranch dressing (that’s ten cups of dressing! ), eight eight-ounce packs of Parmesan cheese, and one family-sized bag of Doritos nacho cheese flavor. A total of 29,000 calories were in the supper.
5. Ronnie Lee Gardner.
Prisoner Ronnie Lee Gardner’s last meal featured a special twist. Gardner placed an order for a steak, a lobster tail, an apple pie with vanilla ice cream, and a 7-Up. Absolutely normal, right?
