In Many Five Star Hotels And Schools In Nigeria, We See Flags Of Foreign Nations – Inibehe Effiong
Human rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong, during an interview on Channels TV, responded to the Nigerian army’s claim that waving a Russian flag in Nigeria is a treasonable offense. Effiong expressed his disagreement with this statement.
Explaining his stance, he pointed out that foreign flags are commonly displayed in many five-star hotels and schools in Nigeria. Effiong emphasized that waving a foreign flag has never been an offense in the country, stating that flying foreign flags in Nigeria has never constituted a crime. He argued that the military’s position, suggesting that those carrying Russian flags are committing a treasonable felony, is unfounded.
