I Can’t Take The Refinery To My Grave. Everything I Do Is In The Interest Of My Country — Dangote

Aliko Dangote of Nigeria has stated that he will not be able to take his refinery or any of his other assets with him when he dies, and he has emphasized that his investment is for the greater good of his nation.

You may remember that on Thursday, Farouk Ahmed, the chief executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), stated: “So, in terms of quality, currently, the AGO (diesel) quality (of Dangote Refinery) in terms of sulphur is the lowest as far as West Africa’s requirement of 50 parts per million (ppm).”

While some are plotting against him, he expressed hope that his refinery could help resolve a major national problem in an interview with PREMIUM TIMES on Sunday, according to Punch.

Additionally, the business magnate has stated his readiness to hand over control of the refinery to the National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) so that the nation can continue to manufacture goods of a high standard.

He said, “I can’t take the refinery or any other property or asset to my grave. Everything I do is in the interest of my country.’

We have been facing a fuel crisis since the 70s. This refinery can help in resolving the problem but it does appear some people are uncomfortable that I am in the picture. So I am ready to let go, let the NNPC buy me out, run the refinery.
