FFK Reacts To Allegation That Matawalle Helped Former Kogi Gov, Yahaya Bello To Escape From Nigeria
The former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to allegations that the Minister of Defence and former Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle helped former Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello to escape from Nigeria.
Femi Fani-Kayode stated on his verified Facebook page on Friday; “What on earth has my friend and brother Bello Matawalle @Bellomatawalle1, the Minister of State for Defence, done to upset his numerous traducers? Yet another monstrous and monumental lie against him is presently making the rounds!”
He added; “This time they allege that he used military personnel to orchestrate and effect a James Bond-like phantom escape from Nigeria of former Governor Yahaya Bello @OfficialGYBKogi of Kogi state.”
He stated further; “Simply because he is doing such an excellent job as Minister of State for Defence the usual suspects have yet again drawn out their sword in a futile attempt to discredit and destroy him.”
He noted; “Few know Matawalle as well as I do and I can attest to the fact that he would never get involved in such a bizarre and far-fetched venture which I have no doubt ever even occurred. Whether his detractors like it or not Matawalle WILL continue to do a good job as Minister and go from strength to strength. (FFK)”
