Daniel Bwala Advises Senator Ireti To Leave LP For APC As Even Obi Will Likely Leave The Party Also
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, declared his intent to oust Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents the FCT in the National Assembly. Wike made this announcement during the launch of the Mabushi Bus Terminal construction in Abuja on July 1. Without directly naming Kingibe, Wike cautioned the senator against criticizing his achievements as FCT minister.
Senator Kingibe, from the Labour Party, voiced grievances on Arise TV earlier that day, alleging neglect of her constituency in FCT affairs. She highlighted issues such as inadequate clean water supply and infrastructure projects that do not sufficiently address healthcare, education, and security needs.
In response, Wike indirectly addressed Kingibe’s criticisms, citing her remarks on national television regarding shortcomings in FCT schools and healthcare facilities. Wike’s comments suggest escalating tensions between the FCT minister and the senator over governance and representation issues in Abuja.
Reacting to the feud between Wike and Ireti, Daniel Bwala took to his X handle to advise the Labour Party Senator for APC where she has always belonged. With that, she will be the official leader and governor of the party in FCT and so, Wike will have no excuse for not working with her as well as get all the support she needs to impact her constituency, which will most likely make her return unopposed by 2027.
