A UK-based Nigerian man (name withheld) has reportedly cancelled his wedding plans after his future in-laws presented an N3.5 wedding list .

According to an X user, Princess Adeola, the man backed out of the wedding with his girlfriend after her family gave him an extravagant list citing the country’s economic state as a reason for their demands.

She, however, did not disclose the region of the country in which, the heart broken man’s future in-laws are from.

Sharing photos of the list, Adeola wrote:“There’s’s this guy on my platform that met a lady here in Nigeriahe’s’s in Uk.

You know hoit’s’s difficult trusting or committing to a long distance relationship these days but against all odds this man was committed to this ladythey’rere both in love and when he asked for my advice I told him to go all for it. Yesterday he reached out to me and was not happy with the bride price list her people gave him.

A list of 3.5m“ We spoke at length and it was not a palatable discussion, I tried to calm him down but his pain was that the woman he wants to marry is also in support of her people saying things are very expensive in Nigeria “Why would anyone ask for all these just to marry a woman. Won’t the man end up treating her like he likes? You basically sold your child. It’s’s very ridiculous, and I hope women learn from this.
