Buba Galadima, Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has made a surprising revelation about his background, stating that neither of his parents spoke Hausa or Fulani, challenging the common assumption that he is from one of these ethnic groups. In an interview with Arise TV, Galadima emphasised his commitment to transcending ethnicity and religion in politics.

He expressed frustration that people often associate him with being Hausa or Fulani simply because he is a Muslim, despite his parents not speaking either language.
