APC Must Begin To Redeem Its Image, This Must Start From Godswill Akpabio’s Resignation — APC Stalwart
In a recent statement, Jonathan Vatsa, former Commissioner for Information Culture and Tourism and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Niger State, has criticized Senate President Godswill Akpabio, as reported by DAILY POST.
Vatsa expressed his thoughts in a statement titled “Time for Akpabio to go is now.”
In the statement, Vatsa, who also served as the former publicity secretary of the APC in Niger State, voiced his concerns.
He stated that the APC has been taken over by individuals whom Nigerians were tired of by 2015, leading to their support for change.
Vatsa accused these individuals of continuing to exploit the country.
He pointed out that Akpabio’s actions made Nigerians believe this exploitation would persist.
He expressed disappointment that the party is now welcoming those previously accused of looting the country.
Vatsa underlined the need for the APC to rebuild its image.
He argued that the party must start regaining the trust of Nigerians before the 2027 elections.
According to him, this process should begin with Akpabio’s resignation.
He stressed that Akpabio’s resignation would show Nigerians that the APC is serious about addressing their concerns.
Vatsa believes that such a move would help the party redeem its image and build confidence among the populace.
”The APC as a party has been hijacked by those that Nigerians were fed up with and decided to embrace ‘Change’ in 2015. They have been eating and they want to continue eating like Akpabio made Nigerians believe.”
“I said it before and I will repeat it that it is sad that we are giving red carpet reception to those we initially accused of looting this country with reckless abandon, so how can we get it right?”
“This party must begin to redeem its image and build confidence in Nigerians before 2027. This must start from Akpabio’s resignation to let Nigerians know that we are serious as a party,” he said…..See_More
