I’m Fully Aware She’s A Married Woman-Adamu Ibrahim Lamuwa Responds To Sexual Harassment Allegations

Ambassador Adamu Ibrahim Lamuwa, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has issued a detailed rebuttal to allegations of sexual harassment made by Mrs. Simisola O. Fajemirokun-Ajayi, a married employee of the ministry.

“I did not ask her to come to my room… I am fully aware that she is a married woman and had once said in a group conversation that she does not hug men, she does that only to children and women,” Ambassador Lamuwa stated in his response to the Head of Service, which was leaked to the media.

Mrs. Fajemirokun-Ajayi, represented by Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), had accused Ambassador Lamuwa of inappropriate conduct, including inviting her to his room and asking for a “frontal hug.” However, Ambassador Lamuwa denied these allegations, stating that his interactions with Mrs. Fajemirokun-Ajayi were professional and appropriate.

As reported by Daily Post, he clarified that his question to her during the 4D retreat was not personal and that she did not visit his room at any time during the retreat.
